In addition to our engineering and research positions, AeroVelo is seeking two additional interns to round out our team in this year’s quest to break the human-powered land-speed record of 133 km/hr:
Sponsorship Director
We’re looking for someone with experience in a sponsorship, fundraising or public relations to lead the team’s sponsorship efforts. This will include a Kickstarter campaign, as well as corporate sponsorship drive with a total target of $125k. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that has experience in tackling relatively small budget, but high-impact projects, and to contribute in a big way to awe-inspiring engineering endeavour.
Photo/Video Director
We’re also looking for an individual with experience in photography and videography to capture the action and help tell our story. The role would involve all project photography, as well as the production of a series of short videos that would help bring elements of the research, design, construction and testing to the general public. It would also include posting and web management relating to the media.
Both roles comprise an integral part of a small and focused team that will be working together at our workshop in the downtown core of Toronto. Small parts of the summer will also be spent on the road at various test tracks in Ontario and Michigan. Both positions will be salaried $6,000 for the 4-month internship (May through August). Applications are being taken on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled.
